This summer, Hong Kong will compete in the World Rugby Under-20 Trophy against Kenya, Samoa, and Spain.
The eight-team competition, which will take place in Kenya from July 15 to 30, has placed the team in Pool B.
In Pool A, qualifiers from North America and Africa will join Scotland, who was demoted from the Under-20 Championship in 2019, and Uruguay.
It will be played in Africa for the third time, with Zimbabwe serving as hosts in 2016. Kenya will host the game for a second time, having previously done so in 2009. The champions will advance to the Under-20 Championship the following year.
Five match days will be held at that tournament in the Western Cape Wineland regions of Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Wellington between June 24 and July 14 in South Africa.
The top 12 countries in the world—Argentina, Australia, England, Fiji, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, and Wales—have been divided into three pools and will all compete to unseat two-time defending champions France and win the coveted championship. The last-place team will be demoted.
